Micah 5:4–5 (NRSV) — 4 And he shall stand and feed his flock in the strength of the Lord,

in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.

And they shall live secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth;

5 and he shall be the one of peace. 

Micah 5:4–5 (The Message) — 4 He will stand tall in his shepherd-rule by God’s strength,

centred in the majesty of God-Revealed.

And the people will have a good and safe home,

for the whole world will hold him in respect—

Peacemaker of the world! 

John 14:27 (NRSV) — 27 Peace I leave with you;

my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.

Romans 5:1 (NRSV) — 1 Therefore, since we are justified by faith,

we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
