Hebrews 12:7 (NRSV) — 7 Endure trials for the sake of discipline. 

God is treating you as children; 

for what child is there whom a parent does not discipline?

Hebrews 12:7 (The Message) — 7 God is educating you;

 that’s why you must never drop out. 

He’s treating you as dear children. 

This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; 

it’s training,

Hebrews 12:7 (NLT) — 7 As you endure this divine discipline, 

remember that God is treating you as his own children. 

Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father?

James 1:2 (NRSV) — 2 Sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, 

consider it nothing but joy,

James 1:2 (The Message) — 2 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, 

when tests and challenges come at you from all sides.

James 1:2 (NLT) — 2 Dear sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way,

 consider it an opportunity for great joy.

As believers we are enabled to view life differently

which fuels our hope and joy

no matter what the circumstances.

God uses all situations to further us into

His Kingdom and grow His Image in us.
