Psalm 51:17 (NRSV) — 17 The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; 

a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Psalm 51:17 (The Message) — 17 I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. 

Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.

Isaiah 42:3 (NRSV) — 3 a bruised reed he will not break, 

and a dimly burning wick he will not quench; 

he will faithfully bring forth justice.

Isaiah 42:3 (NLT) — 3 He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle.

 He will bring justice to all who have been wronged.

Malachi 4:2 (NRSV) — 2 But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, 

with healing in its wings. 

You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.

When God mends the broken

He restores you magnificently
