Psalm 103:1 (NLT) — 1 Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart,
I will praise His Holy Name.
Psalm 105:3 (NLT) — 3 Exult in His Holy Name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord.

Isaiah 6:2–3 (NRSV) — 2 Seraphs were in attendance above him; each had six wings:
with two they covered their faces, and with two they covered their feet,
and with two they flew. 3 And one called to another and said:
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His Glory.

When I first became interested in the study of the Names of God,
I was inspired by the Scripture in Isaiah wherein the seraphs continually praised God.
I had a picture in my heart of these glorious creatures peeking out at God
through their wings, seeing a different facet of Him and then
sharing their discovery joyfully one with another.
It was almost like looking at a spinning disco ball
and seeing something different as the lights and movement
transfix one’s gaze.
That’s how this study has been for me over the years—
discovering something different of God’s Character and Nature and delighting in it.
In this Dailies series I am simply giving you a taste … there is more, so much more—
this is simply a simple beginning of a never-ending story …
our God is a Good, Great God … how unsearchable are His Ways …
but together we will seek to know Him better
through knowing more of His Names in His Word.

Elohim: God—Creator and Strong One
This term denotes majesty and intimates the Trinity. It is especially used to describe God’s Sovereignty and His Mighty Creative Works.
Isaiah 45:18 (NRSV) — 18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!),
who formed the earth and made it
(he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!):
I am the Lord, and there is no other.
Isaiah 45:18 (The Message) — 18 God, Creator of the heavens— he is, remember, God.
Maker of earth— he put it on its foundations, built it from scratch.
He didn’t go to all that trouble to just leave it empty, nothing in it.
He made it to be lived in.
This God says: “I am God, the one and only.

Be blessed this day!
