Romans 8:17 (NLT) — 17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. 

In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. 

But if we are to share his glory, 

we must also share his suffering.

Romans 8:17 (The Message) — 17 And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—

an unbelievable inheritance! 

We go through exactly what Christ goes through. 

If we go through the hard times with him, 

then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!

2 Corinthians 1:3–4 (NRSV) — 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 

the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation, 

4 who consoles us in all our affliction, so that 

we may be able to console those who are in any affliction 

with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.

2 Corinthians 1:3–4 (The Message) — 3 All praise to the God and Father of our Master, 

Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! 

4 He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, 

and before you know it, 

he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that 

we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.

God's Purpose in our pain is far greater than we could ever imagine ...

however in hindsight we get to see His Purpose

in the Light of His Glory and Grace!

And so we are blessed.
