Colossians 1:11 (NLT) — 11 [I] also pray that you will be strengthened
with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.
May you be filled with joy,
Colossians 1:11 (The Message) — 11 [I] pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out
over the long haul—not the grim strength of gritting your teeth
but the glory-strength God gives.
It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy,
1 Peter 4:11 (NRSV) — 11 Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies,
so that God may be glorified in all things through Jesus Christ.
To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11 (The Message) — 11 if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus,
and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—
encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!
Our strength in God is not a feeling that waxes and wanes ...
it is a fact that remains constant and secure in our faith in Him.
The joy of the Lord is my strength! Amen.
