1 Peter 5:10 (NRSV) — 10 And after you have suffered for a little while,
the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ,
will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10 (The Message) — 10 The suffering won’t last forever.
It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—
eternal and glorious plans they are!—
will have you put together and on your feet for good.

1 Timothy 6:12 (NLT) — 12 Fight the good fight for the true faith.
Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you,
which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12 (The Message) — 12 Run hard and fast in the faith.
Seize the eternal life, the life you were called to,
the life you so fervently embraced in the presence of so many witnesses.

2 Corinthians 4:17 (NLT) — 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long.
Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!
2 Corinthians 4:17 (The Message) — 17 These hard times are small potatoes
compared to the coming good times,
the lavish celebration prepared for us.

Our hard times may not seem like small potatoes
whilst we are in the midst of our suffering ...
but when our eyes are upon Jesus we see
His Grace abound to us!
