John 8:12 (NRSV) — 12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. 

Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12 (The Message) — 12 Jesus once again addressed them: “I am the world’s Light. 

No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in.”

Romans 6:4 (NRSV) — 4 Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, 

so we too might walk in newness of life.
