2 Corinthians 1:3–5 (NLT) — 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.

4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.

When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

5 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.

 

2 Corinthians 2:14–15 (NRSV) — 14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads in every place the fragrance that comes from knowing him. 15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved

and among those who are perishing;

 

 

We are not the product of our circumstance - we are the images-bearers of Jesus Christ!
